Untether Your Voice

You’re ready for a new chapter, first burn the old story and write a truer one

Is a rite of passage for creatives, leaders and change makers to release old stories, liberate your expression and create a five minute story that will become the heartbeat of your next chapter.

Untether Your Voice isn't just a course.
It's your invitation to cross the threshold into who you're becoming.

Life has already initiated you — through grief, reinvention, awakenings, and maybe a few full-blown identity deaths in the Trader Joe’s parking lot.

Now it's time to shape that hard-won wisdom into something the world needs: A talk. A message. A body of work. A new creative expression that supercharges your path forward.

The world doesn’t need more trauma stories. It needs storytellers who have alchemized their pain into wisdom.

The internet doesn’t need more AI-generated advice. It needs leaders sharing their embodied truth.

  • You may come with a story you have never told.

  • You may return to one you have told many times.

  • Your wisdom keeps evolving  and your voice is allowed to evolve with it.

You’re not blocked. You’re brimming.

You just need space to examine your internal stories—to separate what's yours from what was handed down, and shape your wisdom into something that moves both you and your audience forward.

In our culture we lack true thresholds—
spaces to release what we no longer need to carry, be witnessed in our wisdom, and powerfully step into who we’re becoming.

This work isn’t storytelling as performance.
It’s storytelling as alchemy.

Your lived experience is your soul’s curriculum—medicine not just for you, but for the world.

You’ll Leave With:

The outline of a powerful five-minute Story the seed of a message, a talk, a new offer you can carry forward.

A clearer understanding of what your life has been teaching you.

A reclaimed part of yourself.

A process you can return to whenever life changes you again.

About Your Guide

Every creative breakthrough in my life began with telling one terrifying story.

The honest HuffPost essay about leaving TV news? It launched my production company. The 5-minute Moth story about my cult upbringing became a Washington Post feature—then a documentary seen around the world. The story I told at 49 about anxiety and buried grief? That cracked me open and a book is in the works.

I’m Cara Jones—Emmy-winning journalist turned trauma-informed coach and story doula. I help artists, coaches, and creatives transform lived experience into talks, books, and bodies of work rooted in deep truth.

Because when we dare to tell the stories we thought might undo us, we make space for something bigger: personal healing that ripples into collective change.
